Welcome to the Amazon River, Peru, South America !
Fly over night to Lima, Peru.  Fly three hours over the Andes Mountains to Iquitos, Peru on El Rio Amazonas.  Board a fast moving boat two and a half hours down river to El Rio Napo.

teachers are paid once a month and must make
the 24 hour round trip to Iquitos to pick up their government pay

the Adopt-a-School program is supported through donations to the Detroit Zoo and CONAPAC and ensures village children  will  have school supplies -
